Ok, the swords don't quite slice through but they definitely have hurt the spider as it lets out a rather painfully loud screech. And now Sanya can actually make her attack roll in the proper order.

The spider skitters back and sprays acid from its jaws at the group. It doesn't seem to have any effect at first, but it starts to melt through your clothes and armor, moving on the skin beneath and it burns horribly.

Djarra extends a clawed hand and swipes at the spider, a large black clawed hand appears before the spider mimicking Djarra's movement.

The spider shrugs off the onslaught of attacks from Djarra and Verna, but Sanya's swords strike true and leave gaping cuts in the metal chassis of the spider. It's jaws secrete more of the acidic venom as it bites at Sanya, the acid melting away at her skin.

Djarra's bolt passes through the front of the spider and as it comes out the back it tears off several metal plates. It looks like it is on it's last legs, making very ragged movements.

After Sanya's onslaught of attacks, the spider collapses and the orb rolls out of the collapsed metal parts. The orb now has a third, red segment inside of it and is quite warm to the touch. The webs in the room also dissipate.
