but why a gold coin? You could've just pushed Zni next to the golem

He's right you could've pushed zni next to the golem instead of using a gold coin

If the golem is guarding something, Djarra can't see past it. The walls are rather bland, lacking of tapestries or anything else really. The golem itself does seem to be unformed though now that you look at it closer.

I walk over, pick up Verna's coin, put it in my pouch then approach the golem, trying to determine its purpose and taking a closer look at the braziers

Upon an ever closer inspection of the golem, you can see a small green crystal glowing faintly in what would be the golem's chest. You get the feeling a different crystal is supposed to power the golem. There is nothing behind the golem except for empty space. The braziers you can see that they are burning without any fire source, making you assume they are magical and perhaps connected to the golem.

Djarra removes the crystal, places it in his pouch then heads back out the door. Heading to the door with the snake on it and opening it.

Verna follows with a puzzled look and the jingle of her coin pouch lacking one less gold coin

When the group leaves to enter snake, the eagle door closes shut and the eagle begins glowing again. Opening the snake door, it ceases to glow and green flamed braziers light up. The room layout looks exactly the same but instead of the pile of metal parts from the eagle room you see a gorgon that looks like it is made of metal and hunched over. The gorgon has 4 arms and a sabre in each and it has a hatch of some sort on its back as you can see it is opened. Behind the gorgon is a pedestal with a purple orb on it. The door closes behind the group this time and will not budge.

Without a word Djarra pulls out the green crystal and walks over to the gorgon, inspecting the open hatch

The crystal glows brighter and starts making a humming noise, growing warm to the touch and vibrating as it gets closer to the Gorgon. On the inside of the hatch, there is a lot of empty space, mostly just a receptacle for a power source.

Djarra turns and smirks at the others then carefully places the crystal into the gorgon, closing the hatch and walking back towards the door.

"I'm more worried about why he keeps touching things. You should be messing with crystals. This entire place is a death trap!" I pout looking around the room focusing on the ceiling in particular.

At first, nothing happens. But after a couple minutes the gorgon starts creaking to life. Gears begin turning rather loudly from inside of its body and it raises its head. It doesn't seem to have any eyes, or a face for that matter. But it raises its 4 blades in an aggressive manner.
Roll Initiative!
