I quietly stand up from my chair and leave the tavern to visit the blacksmith, in search for a sickle, my weapon of choice

well I don't know about you two but I'm headed to the blacksmith. I'd rather not face down a goblin tribe with naught but my hands and a couple spells. Would feel much better with some steel in hand
I stand and head for the door, pausing long enough to toss a wink at the barkeep then continuing out in search of the smithy we saw on our way in

Out on the streets, there are still quite a few people although it is easy enough to find your way to the blacksmith. A rather aged dwarf stands behind an anvil, tempering a piece of steel when you approach his building. "Aye, what can I do fer ya? The names Crunan Rubymace. Finest smithy the land's ever seen." He gestures behind him to a rather large array of weapons and then continues to hammer away at the hot steel blade.

"Looking ta be a farmer there lad? I have a few sickles to offer, but mine are only steel. If yer lookin' fer some fancy magic, I'd recommend the wizard down the road. She might be able ta help ya out." He says this with an insulted look on his face, that you would need anything more than his weapons and would want to have magical enchantments on them as well.

so Zni, I'm pretty sure the local smith will have whatever farm tool you're looking for, as for me, I'd like a good Kris dagger

"With all this gear, ya must be mercenaries of some kind. Do try and avoid causing trouble in this town, we get enough of it from local bandits." He heads back into his shop, coming out with his hands full. He dumps a small dagger with a nice sheath onto the counter first, followed by two incredibly sharp scimitars, and a couple sickles as well as a scythe. He then places a pipe in his mouth. "Well, the dagger will cost ya 5 gold. Sheath and I sharpened it recently. Scimitars will run ya 10 gold each, those were also sharpened quite recently. And yer fancy farming equipment is gonna be 5 gold for each one. In case ya wanted ta be more advanced in crop harvesting, I brought out my finest scythe which is gonna cost 10 gold."

I pick up the dagger, testing its heft, balance and edge before replacing it in its sheath and addressing the Smith as I hand him the gold
well we aren't here to cause trouble, not for the town at least, would you happen to have a good short sword, I think I might end up needing a slightly longer reach

I place 10 gold on the counter, grabbing the scythe, I give it a wide hard swing before stabbing the bottom into the dirt
