First off, if you're using a mobile device to connect on the forum, you'll need to view it in desktop format to use the virtual dice. Scroll to the bottom and there should be a button that says Desktop.
In the Game Room the DM's make the rules, listen and follow their instruction.
Note: all DM's are approved by myself and Lime. So we know they're competent.
That being said, if you feel you were treated unfairly by a DM feel free to message myself or Lime and we will try to sort it. (Being killed by a horde or stampeding orcs, swallowed by a dragon, or just dying period is not unfair treatment!)
For those who are new to D&D;
The seemingly hardest thing for a player to grasp is Player Knowledge and Character Knowledge...
Player Knowledge is what you as a player knows/learns throughout the game and doesn't always coincide with what your Character knows.
Example: Lime posted a bio of his character in the Characters board. Reading it we know his character his a half dragon that serves Tiamat and grew up in a monastery, we also know his name. This is Player Knowledge.
Character Knowledge is only the things your CHARACTER has learned, through their own experiences. What they've seen, heard, smell, felt, etc.
Example; if two people are having a conversation at one end of a bar and you're at the other end, do you know what was said? No, because you can't hear them from where you're at. Same goes for your Character. Take my previous example using Lime's character, as a Player you know everything he wrote, as a Character first meeting his character all you know is what you see, eye color, clothing, the way he carries himself and so on.
If you have any questions about player/character knowledge ask your DM, they'll be glad to help.
Now for dice rolls.
I have added a plugin that allows us to roll any type of dice and include modifiers.
To roll you have to put the command in brackets [] inside the brackets type roll="*.*"
The "*.*" is replaced by the dice you want to roll
Example: roll=1d6
4|VTMNaA1d6
That is [ roll=1d6 ] without the spaces
Modifiers are written out like:
Roll=2d10+4
2d10+41d6ยท2d10+4
